Charges framed against ex-MP Bodi in corruption case

Abdur Rahman Bodi, former Cox's Bazar MP, was convicted in a case that accused him of amassing illicit money.

Judge Md Ismail Hossain, of Chattogram District and Sessions, framed the charges against Bodi.

The formal trial against Bodi has started with that, said Salauddin Lablu, lawyer for the Anti-Corruption Commission. 

The court also set for the next hearing in the case on October 18.

Ali Akbar, ACC 's assistant counsel, filed the case against Bodi in 2017 at Double Mooring Police Station for illegally amassing Tk 47 lakh from unknown sources, and Tk 67 lakh.

The chargesheet was tabled by ACC on June 2018.
