As violence and sexual assault on women are making headlines almost every day, the intercourse of a young man with animals has surfaced.

Mohammad Golam Azam, 22, son of Jahidul Islam, allegedly engaged in sexual intercourse with cows, goats and dogs in the village of Dumurtola in the Sundarpur Durgapur union under Uzazila Kaliganj of Jhenaidah.

The villager had earlier reprimanded him, indicating that the offense could not be repeated.

Golam Azam, who hasn't changed, had sex with a dog again on Friday morning. It was witnessed by some villagers, and they caught him red-handed.

He was beaten and admitted to the Upazila health complex by villagers with injuries.

A case against Azam was lodged at Kaliganj Police Station on Friday night.

The case was filed by Md Ariful Islam, son of Md Abdul Huq of the same village and a local activist from the Chhatra League.

The incident was reported by Md. Mahfuzur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge of Kaliganj Police Station, speaking to The Media.

A case was registered at the Kaliganj Police Station on Friday night under section 377 of the Penal Code. The offender is heard to have committed the offenses on many occasions.

In answer to a question, he said the defendant was seeking treatment because he was hurt due to mass beatings.

The court was told that the complaint had been filed and accused of hospitalization, he added.
