Election Commission to sue MP Nixon for violating code of conduct

On Wednesday, Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda said the case will be filed against MP Nixon Chowdhury today or tomorrow for violating the Code of Conduct in the Faridpur district's Charbhadrasan Upazila election.

On behalf of the Election Commission, the returning officer will file the case.

At the press conference this noon, CEC Nurul Huda came up with the discloser.

He said, "To file a complaint, the commission has enough evidence. The complaint will be filed today or Thursday. Later, the matter will be investigated by the police."

He also stated, however, that a three-member committee will be set up to investigate the matter and to find out any new complaints against Nixon.
