A 'Bangabandhu Centre' has recently been opened by the Bangladesh High Commission in Pretoria, South Africa, as the government has taken numerous measures to positively brand Bangladesh by setting up such centers around the world.

The Bangabandhu Centre was created on the basis of a library with a rich collection of over 400 books written in both Bangla and English on Bangabandhu's life and achievements, the High Commission said on Monday.

As the government says Bangladesh and Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman are inseparable, Bangladesh has so far opened Bangabandhu Corners in 68 missions out of 78 missions abroad.

The government wants to fully change the wrong image of Bangladesh and wants to let the world realize that, with its vibrant economy, Bangladesh is a land of possibilities.

Bangladesh is celebrating the centennial birth of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Father of the Country, which will continue until December 2021 and will mark the 50th anniversary of the Bangladesh War of Liberation in 2021.
