Bangladesh records 22 more deaths, 1,235 new cases

According to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services, Bangladesh reported 22 more deaths from the novel coronavirus over the last 24 hours until 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, raising the death toll to 7531.

Meanwhile, 1,235 individuals tested positive for Covid-19. The number of novel coronavirus cases now stands at 512,496 in the world.

The infection rate of the latest day was 8.11 percent of the total samples, while the overall rate was 15.94 percent in the country until date. At 1.47 percent, the mortality rate stands.

During the same period, 1,507 patients were declared free of Covid-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 456,070 with a recovery rate of 88.99 percent.
