6 more test positive for COVID-19 in C'nawabganj

A number of six more persons tested positive for Covid-19 during the last 24 hours till this morning, raising the total number of infection to 5,288 in the district.

During the time, 44 samples were tested here, showing the infection rate 13.63 percent, civil surgeon office sources confirmed.

Among the newly detected patients, four are from Gomostapur upazila and two others from Nachole upazila.

Of the total detected patients of the district, 2,982 are from Sadar, 879 from Shibganj, 691 from Gomostapur, 381 from Nachole and 355 from Bholahat upazilas.

A total of 479 patients are undergoing treatment in the district. Of them, 60 are getting treatment in dedicated Covid hospital and others at home.

Meanwhile, 145 patients have died of Covid-19 and 4,664 have recovered from the disease here so far, the sources added.
