Country always witnessed development in AL regime: Tarana

State Minister for Posts and Telecommunications Tarana Halim yesterday said the country is always witnessed development whenever Awami League is in power.

"Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's only devotion is country's development and she is working relentlessly to turn Bangladesh into a developed country," she said.

The state minister passed the remarks while exchanging views with the local people during the visiting progress of development works at Nagarpur Upazila.

The government is implementing a Taka 122 crore embankment project to protect the erosion of Jamuna River at Shahjani, Atpara and Dhalai in Bharda Union.

Calling upon the people to vote AL in next national election for tenure, Tarana said: "If you vote AL to power, the socioeconomic scenarios of Bangladesh would be changed and the country would be emerged as developed country before the globe."

Former Nagarpur AL adviser Khurshed Alam Babul, Upazila AL President Zakirul Islam William, General Secretaty Kudrat Ali and noted social worker Ayub Talukdar, among others, spoke on the occasion with Bharda Union AL President Abdul Karim Talukdar in the chair.
