25 held including Jamaat activist in Satkhira

Police, in special drives from Friday night to this morning, arrested 25 accused including one Jamaat-E-Islami activist, on various charges from seven upazilas of the district.
Sources with the district police said they were picked up from different areas of the district.
During the drives, Satkhira Sadar police arrested 10 accused, Kalaroa police 5 accused including a Jamaat-E-Islami activist, Tala police 1, Kaliganj police 3 , Shyamnagar police 2, Assasuni police 2, Patkelghata police 1 and Debhata police 1 accused.
Several cases, including charges of subversive activities, are pending with different police stations against the arrested persons, the sources added.
