100 gold bars found in abandoned state inside plane

Customs officials at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport seized 100 gold bars weighing around 11.6 kilogrammes from an aircraft on Monday.
The gold bars were found in an abandoned state in the Qatar Airways flight that reached the Dhaka airport from Doha Monday morning, said HM Ahsanul Kabir, assistant commissioner of the Customs House.
Ahsanul Kabir also said that they raided the aircraft and found the gold bars wrapped up in red coloured cloth and inside a packet.
The bars are worth Tk 5.45 crore.
Law enforcers also said no one was so far arrested in this regard.
