BSF detains 2 Bangladeshi cattle traders

Members of India’s Border Security Force (BSF) detained two Bangladeshi cattle traders at Shetpur in India while they were returning to Bangladesh with cattle on Saturday afternoon.

 

The detainees were identified as Hasan Gazi, son of Majed Gazi of Gholgholia village, and Azizul Islam, son of Jan Mohammahd of Char Shripur village in Debhata upazila of the district.

A group of cattle traders entered the Indian territory through Bhatshal border point to bring some livestock, according to local traders.

However, the BSF men detained two of the traders while the group was returning to the country with cattle.

Contacted, company commander of Bhatshal BGB camp Sushil Bhoumik said they are yet to have any information about the arrest.
