Man killed by ‘wife’ in Laxmipur

Police recovered the body of a man, allegedly killed by his wife, from a septic tank of his house in Charpata area of Raipur upazila on Friday night.
The victim was identified as Abu Taher, a resident of the area.
Sheikh Shariful Islam, additional superintendent of police, said that Taher remained missing since Wednesday evening. Later his brother Nurul Islam filed a general diary with Raipur Police Station.
Police detained Taher’s wife Rabeya Khatun on Friday morning for interrogation.
At one stage, Rabeya confessed to slaughtering her husband over family feud.
Acting on her information, a police team recovered Taher’s body from the septic tank around 11pm.
