'Terrorist' injured in rival attack dies at CMCH

An alleged terrorist, who was stabbed in an attack by his rivals in Akbar Shah area of the city on Saturday night, died at Chittagong Medical College Hospital on Sunday morning.

The deceased was identified as Yeasin, a resident of the area.

Quoting witnesses officer-in-charge of Akbar Shah Police Station Mohammad Alamgir said two terrorist groups one led by Mona and another by Yeasin had long been at loggerheads over establishing supremacy in the area.

As a sequel to the enmity, the supporters of Mona attacked Yeasin and stabbed him when he was staying in Lake City area at about 9am, leaving Yeasin critically inured.

Yeasin was admitted to CMCH where he was succumbed to his injures around 11:30am on Sunday.

Police arrested two people - Mona and Farhad in this connection.
