Malibagh flyover accident kills worker, 2 injured

An worker was killed and two others, including a construction engineer, were injured as a girder of Malibagh-Mouchak-Mogbazar flyover collapsed near Malibagh rail gate area in Dhaka early Monday.
Officer-in-charge of Ramna Police Station Moshiur Rahman said the girder suddenly slipped while it was lifted by a crane around 1:45am, leaving three people seriously injured.
The deceased is Swapan, 42, son of Azimuddin from Kishoreganj’s Pakundia. The injured are engineer Polash and driver Nurunnabi.
DMCH police outpost Sub-Inspector Bachchu Miah said “Fire fighters rescued the three men and rushed them to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where the worker died around 3am.”
