12 Killed, 10 injured in Chuadanga road accident

At least 12 people were killed and 10 others injured as a truck rammed into a locally assembled human hauler 'Votovoti' at Joyrampur village on the Chuadanga-Darsana road in Damurhuda upazila of the district this morning.
Police said the identities of the deceased and injured could not be known immediately.
The accident occurred around 7.15am when the two vehicles collided head-on in the area.
Sub-Inspector (SI) of Damurhuda Thana Amzad Hossain said eight persons were killed on the spot and four others succumbed to their injuries at Chuadanga Sadar Hospital.
Rest of the injured persons is being treated at the hospital, police added.
