Former OC sent to jail in Khulna

A Khulna court today sent a former officer-in-charge (OC) of Patia Police Station to jail in a case filed under Women and Children Repression Prevention Act.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Md Nurul Amin Biplob passed the order after former OC Refayet Ullah Chowdhury surrendered before the court today, our Khulna correspondent reports.
Nasrin Akhter Ruma, wife of the OC, filed the case against him on January 18, 2017.
Later, the court issued an arrest warrant against him on March 7.
