5 killed in Gaibandha, Mymensingh road mishaps

Five people were killed in separate road accidents in Mymensingh and Gaibandha early Saturday.
At least two people were killed and 15 others injured as a passenger bus plunged into a roadside ditch in Raimoni area of Trishal upazila in Mymensingh Saturday morning.
Identities of the deceased were not known immediately.
The accident took place on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway at around 5:30 am, leaving two killed on the spot and injuring the others, said Trishal police station officer-in-charge Mohammad Moniruzzaman.
The injured were rushed to local upazila health complex and Mymensingh Medical College and Hospital, the OC added.
UNB adds from Gaibandha: Three people were killed and two others injured in a collision between two trucks on Dhaka-Rangpur highway in Fasitola area of Gobindaganj upazila early Saturday.
The deceased could not be identified immediately.
Mujibar Rahman, officer-in-charge of Gobindaganj Highway Police, said that the accident took place in the area around 2am when the cattle-laden Dhaka-bound truck collided with cement-laden Rangpur-bound truck, leaving three people dead on the spot and two others injured.
The injured were admitted at Gobindaganj Upazila Health Complex.
