Mother poisons 8-month old

A woman killed her eight-month-old son by poisoning him over a quarrel with her husband in Mawna Chakpara area of Sreepur upazila, Gazipur, on Wednesday night.
Police and locals said Adnan Labib Saad was poisoned by his mother after she had an argument with her husband Haroon-ur-Rashid over a family issue at around 11:00pm on Wednesday.
On information, police arrested the mother and sent the body to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College and Hospital
Sreepur police station officer in-charge Asaduzzaman said the mother admitted killing her son and was sent to Gazipur court to record her statement.
