Man died, 7 army men hurt in Tangail road crash

A man was died and seven soldiers of Bangladesh Army injured in a road accident on Dhaka-Tangail highway in Pakulla area of Mirzapur upazila early Tuesday.

Rafiqul Islam, sub-inspector of Mirzapur Police Station, said the accident took place in the area around 5am when a Bogra cantonment-bound bus from Dhaka plunged into a roadside ditch as the driver lost control over the steering, leaving bus supervisor Dulal Mia dead on the spot and seven army men injured.

The injured were admitted to Tangail General Hospital, SI added.
