Fire service staff crushed under train in capital

A fire service staff was died as a train ran him over  at cantonment rail station in the capital on Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Abu Taher, 42 and son of  Abu Bakar of  Parbotipur upazila in Dinajpur.

Duty officer of fire service headquarters Ataur Rahman said Abu Taher was a fireman of Nilphamari fire service station. He came to Dhaka to participate in a examination due to promotion.

A train hit him while he reached cantonment rail station at 7am, leaving him severe injured.

Later, he was rushed to  Kurmitola General Hospital where duty doctor declared him dead.
