BU students stage demo demanding removal of VC

The students of Barisal University staged demonstrations on the campus on Monday morning demanding removal of its vice chancellor.

The students of the university started to gather on the campus from 7:30am and locked main gate of the academic building, said Shahmim Ahmed, a student of the university.

The students brought various allegations against the VC including recruitment without freedom fighter quota and increasing session fees.

Saiful Islam, public relations officer of the university, said discussions are continuing to solve the ongoing crisis.
