2 killed in Chittagong road crashes

Two people, including a lawyer, were killed in road accidents in Halishohor and Pahartoli areas early Friday.
Zahirul Islam, officer-in-charge of Chittagong Medical College Hospital police camp, said advocate Rafiqul Islam, 68, a resident of Halishohor area, was killed when a truck ran him over while he was returning to home around 6 am.
In another incident, Ayub Ali Sujon, 27, son of Abbas Uddin of Saraipara in Pahartoli area of the port city was injured in a road accident when he was hit by a vehicle on Thursday night, he said.
He was taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries around 3 am.
