Son allegedly kills father

A sexagenarian man was hacked to death allegedly by his son at Bhabanipur village in Paikgachha upazila of Khulna early Friday.
Aminul Islam, officer-in-charge of Paikgachha police station, said Pallab Odhikari, 35, a mentally ill son of Nirmal Odhikari, 60, swooped on the house of his father and hit Nirmal with a sharp weapon on his head around 3:00am, leaving him dead on the spot.
On information, police went to the spot and arrested Pallab on Friday morning.
