Man killed in Noakhali 'gunfight'

A local leader of Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal, youth wing of BNP, was killed in a 'gunfight' with police at Alaiyapur in Begumganj upazila last night.
The deceased was identified as Md Alam, joint convener of Alaiyapur union unit of Jubo Dal.
Sajidul Islam Sajid, officer-in-charge of Begumganj Police Station, said Alam was wanted in 10 cases including murder, rape, abduction and extortion filed with the police station.
The body was sent to Noakhali District Hospital for an autopsy.
