UP chairman shot dead in Narail

Unidentified miscreants gunned down a Union Parishad (UP) chairman in Kalia upazila of Narail early today.
Deceased Nahidul Hossain Mollah, 48, was the chairman of Hamidpur union parishad.
He was shot around 4:00am at his residence in Gazirhat area, said Kalia Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Shamsher Ali.
Critically injured, Mollah was whisked off to Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH) where he succumbed to his injuries, the OC added.
