Teenager stabbed dead in Narail

A teenage boy was stabbed to death in Kaldanga village of Kalia upazila, Narail on Friday afternoon over establishing supremacy.

The deceased Azmal Fakir, 18, was a son of Mannan Fakir.

Second officer of Kalia Police Station, Shimul Das, said that there had been long standing dispute between incumbent chairman of Chanchuri union, Sirajul Islam Hirok, and former chairman Lutfar Rahman.

Following the dispute, the supporters of Hirok stabbed Lutfar’s supporter Azmal while he was going to a local market around 5:30pm, leaving him critically injured, he added.

Later, the injured was taken to Narail Sadar Hospital where physicians declared him dead.
