Seminar on Bangladesh held in British parliament

A seminar on 'Branding Bangladesh: NRB and UN Peace Keeping' was held at the British parliament in London on Wednesday marking World Conference 2017.

M A Mannan MP, State Minister of Finance and Planning, Bangladesh attended the seminar as chief guest, according to a message received early Thursday.

With Centre for NRB chairperson M S Shekil Chowdhury in the chair, the seminar was also addressed by British parliament member Anne Main, Shadow ministers Dawn Butler, Rushanara Ali, Rupa Huq, Jim Fitzpatrick, Seema Malhotra, Pola Manzila Uddin.

Tulip Siddiq sent a greeting message to the seminar arranged by Centre for NRB.

Two articles on peace keeping were presented in the seminar on behalf of Bangladesh Police and Bangladesh Army.

Sharifa Khan, Commercial Counsellor at Bangladesh High Commission in London, Shahgir Bakth Faruk and Counsellor Parvez Ahmed joined the seminar as discussants.

Messages from President and Prime Minister of Bangladesh have been read out at the very beginning of the seminar.
