Man killed in Bagerhat road accident

A man was killed as a fish-laden pickup van hit a stationed truck at Shahbari on Bagerhat-Pirojpur road in Morelganj upazila in Bagerhat on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Monir Hossian, 26, helper of pickup van driver, hailed from Mathbaria upazila of Pirojpur.
A fish-laden pickup van hit a timber-leaden truck, which was kept stationed in Shahpara area since Eid day as it went out of service, from behind this morning, leaving its helper dead on the spot, said Md Rashedul Alam, officer-in-charge of Morelganj Police Station.
On information, police recovered the body and seized both the vehicles.
