10 youths rescued while being trafficked to India

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) rescued 10 young men from Gatipara border in Benapole Port Police Station while they were being trafficked to India on Friday night.

They hail from different areas of Pirojpur and Bagerhat districts.

Subeder Manzur Rahman, company commander of Daulatpur camp of BGB-21 battalion, said that on secret information a team of BGB conducted a drive in the area at night and arrested the 10 youths who were heading to India in search of good job.

Sensing the presence of BGB men, the members of the human trafficking gang managed to flee the scene.

Later, BGB handed them over to Benapole Port Police Station.

A case was filed.
