SC takes initiative to bring changes in admin

The Supreme Court has taken an initiative to bring some changes in its administration.
The authorities have approved a proposal for transferring 10 high officials of the Supreme Court registrar’s office, including Registrar General Syed Aminul Islam, Additional Registrar of the High Court Division Md Sabbir Faiz and the chief justice’s personal secretary Mohammad Anisur Rahman, a SC high official said.
A law ministry official said the ministry will issue a government order after getting the Supreme Court’s approval notice.
On October 11, Law Minister Anisul Huq told the reporters that Justice Md Abdul Wahhab Miah who is performing duties of the chief justice, has desired to bring some changes in the SC administration.
Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha, who is now abroad, on October 13 said that he was a “bit worried about the independence of the judiciary”.
