Former CECs at EC for last electoral talks

For the last of the electoral talks, former chief election commissioners, election commissioners and election experts today sat for a dialogue at the Election Commission.

Former Chief Election Commissioners Justice Mohammad Abdur Rouf and ATM Shamsul Huda along with six former election commissioners joined the talks that around 11:00am.

“In the past few days, we have sat for meetings with many stakeholders and we have taken notes of their important observations. Today, we feel light-hearted to have you with us,” KM Nurul Huda said in his introductory speech.

“Your experience in conducting the previous elections is very valuable for us,” Huda added.

Among five invited former CECs, only two could make it to today’s meeting.

Former Chief Election Commissioners Kazi Rakibuddin Ahmed, Mohammad Abu Hena and MA Aziz did not join the talks.
