5 ‘robbers’ held in B’baria

Police arrested five suspected robbers while fleeing after committing robbery at Noapara village in Kasba municipality area early Friday.

Local people said a gang of robbers swooped on the house of Rabiullah Mia and kept the house inmates hostage after tying  up their hands and legs in the dead of night.

Sensing the presence of the robbers, local people besieged the house and managed to catch five robbers while the others managed to flee.

 Later, they were handed over to police, said Mohiuddin, officer-in-charge of Kasba Police Station.
