Drug dealer held with 5.5kg heroin

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested an alleged drug dealer along with 5.5kg heroin from Bhatopara village in Rajshahi on Monday.
The arrestee was Shamsul Haq alias Sover, 55, son of Thandu Miah of the village.
Tipped off, a team of Rab-5 in Rajshahi raided on the house of Shamsul and arrested him along with heroin worth about Tk five crore, weighing 5.5 kilograms, one mobile phone set and Tk 49,500 in cash around 7:00 pm, Rab sources said.
A case will be filed under the Narcotics Control Act.
