2 ‘smugglers’ held with arms, Phensidyl in Chapainawabganj

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in a drive arrested two alleged smugglers along with arms and 50 bottles of Phensidyl from Chowka border point in Chapainawabganj early Monday.

Tipped off, a BGB team conducted the drive around 3am and arrested Md Jem, 28, and Babu Bhodol, 25, along with a pistol, seven bullets, two magazines, two sharp weapons and the Phensidyl, said Lt Col SM Abul Ehsan, commanding officer of BGB-9 Battalion.

A case was filed.
