Helpline at fire service HQ out of order for hours

The emergency helpline numbers of Bangladesh Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters in Dhaka’s Kazi Alauddin Road have been out of order since early morning.
None can reach to the five landline numbers of the control room for any emergency news since 5:00am, said Mahfuz Riben, duty officer at the fire service headquarter.
“Authorities have been informed about the serious matter,” he said adding “We are trying to fix the numbers”.
More landline numbers around this area have also gone out of service since morning, the duty officer added.
In case of any emergency news of fire, the duty officer has requested everybody to contact the numbers mentioned below for the time being until the hotlines be fixed.
