5 suspected kidnappers held in Gazipur

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) in a drive arrested five suspected kidnappers from Chowrasta in Gazipur city on Thursday night.

A team of the elite force conducted the drive and arrested the five, said to be the members of an organised gang of kidnappers, along with a pistol, bullets, DB uniform and a vehicle, said a text message from Rab-2.

They used to kidnap people posing as detectives, the text message said.  

Further details of the arrestees will be disclosed at a press briefing later in the day.
