Liberian footballer dies in Dhaka

A Liberian footballer died in Dhaka. The deceased is Balack, in his thirties, who used to play for local football club, Chittagong Mohammedan.

Police said Balack was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Wednesday night as he fell ill. Later, physicians declared him dead at about 1:00am.

Primarily, the doctors said Balack died of a cardiac arrest.

The Rampur police Sub-inspector Nazrul Islam told journalists, Balack lived at a rented house in Rampura Mahanagar Project. The building’s security guard said Balack was ill for last few days. He was suffering from several diseases including kidney problem.

However, police investigating the reason behind his death. Meanwhile, the body was sent the morgue for autopsy.
