Case filed over attack on IU VC

A case was filed with Islamic University (IU) Police Station over the attack on Vice-Chancellor of the university Professor Dr M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari.
IU acting registrar SM Abdul Latif filed the case against 15 unidentified people with the police station on Friday evening, said officer-in-charge of IU Police Station Raton Sheikh.
Police are trying to find out the miscreants, the OC added.
On Friday morning, a group of unidentified miscreants attacked the VC felling trees on Jhenidah-Kushtia Highway near Baroda area in Jhenidah while the VC was returning to the campus from Dhaka.
