4 ‘JMB’ put 5-day remand in Natore

A court here on Wednesday placed four suspected activists of banned militant outfit Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) on 5-day remand each.

The remanded JMB men are Anisur Rahman Anis, a resident of Arkandi village in Singra upazila, Shafikul Islam and Fazlur Rahman, residents of Chapapukur village in Bagatipara upazila and Jakir Hossian, a resident of Kholabaria village in Naldanga upazila.

Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Rabiul Islam passed the order after sub-inspector Abu Sadad of Natore Detective Branch of Police and also investigation officer of the case produced them before to the court seeking 10-day remand plea.

Earlier, police in a three-hour drive arrested them from the house of Dubai expatriate Iqbal in Dighpatia area of Sadar upazila early Tuesday along with crude bombs, sharp weapons and zihadi books.
