Youth ‘commits suicide’ in Sirajganj

A young man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling of his house at Mukundagati in Belkuchi municipality area on Thursday night.
The deceased was identified as Fahim Ahmed, 21, son of Fazal Pramanik of the area.
Sazzad Hossain, officer-in-charge of Belkuchi Police Station, said Fahim went to his room after having lunch. Getting no response from Fahim’s room till evening, the other inmates of the house entered his room breaking open the door and found him hanging from the ceiling of the room, he said.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to local hospital morgue.
A suicide note was also recovered from his room, said police.
