Man killed by ‘nephew’ in Sirajganj

A man was hit to death allegedly by his nephew at Chandanganti Kalibari village in Belkuchi upazila on Monday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Abdur Razzak, 32, son of Afaz Uddin.
Sazzad Hossain, officer-in-charge of Belkuchi Police Station, said there had been a feud between two siblings Abdur Razzak and Abdul Momin alias Lal Chand for a long. As a sequel to the previous enmity, the two brothers locked into an altercation at noon.
Lal Chand’s son Hamidul Islam along with his followers attacked the houses of Razzak and beat his family members which triggered a clash between two families.
At one stage, Hamidul hit Razzak with a stick, leaving him dead on the spot.
At least seven people were also injured in the clash.
On information, police rushed in and brought the situation under control.
Police arrested Hamidul and Lal Chand.
