4 ‘militants’ held in Rajshahi

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) in separate drives arrested four alleged militants here on Monday.

The arrestees are Naimul Islam, Piarul, hailing from Godagari upazila, Jewell, hailing from Bolepukur in the city and Shahabul Islam of Modhhochar in Chapainawabganj district.

Rab-5 Deputy Commander AMA Ashraful said an elite force team conducted drives in different areas and arrested them from their respective houses.

Necessary legal steps would be taken against them and details about the arrest will be disclosed at a press briefing later, the official said.
