Two killed in Lalmonirhat road crash

Two people were killed and five others injured when a tractor hit a CNG run auto-rickshaw on Lalmonirhat-Burimari highway at Kamarer Haat in Patgram upazila early Friday.
The deceased were identified as Latif Hossain, 35 and Tanjina Khatun, 28, daughter of Aminur Rahman of Paschim Sardubi village in Hatibandha upazila.
Sazzad Hossain, officer-in-charge of Patgram Police Station, said the accident took place around 1:00 am when the tractor hit the CNG run auto-rickshaw, leaving two autorickshaw passengers dead on the spot and four others injured.
The injured were taken to Rangpur Medical College and Hospital.
They met the tragic incident while going to attend a wedding party of their relative.
