3 killed in two trucks collision in Tangail

Three people were killed while another one injured in a head-on collision between two trucks on Bangabandhu Bridge link road at Saratoil in Kalihati upazila on Wednesday.

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Mosharraf Hossain, officer-in-charge of Bangabandhu Bridge East Police Station, said the accident took place in the area around 7 am when a Dhaka-bound stone-laden truck collided head on with a Dinajpur-bound one, leaving three people killed on the spot and one injured.

The injured was taken to Tangail General Hospital for treatment.

Police seized both the trucks, but could not arrest anyone, he added.
