Two killed in Cox’s Bazar road crash

At least two people were killed and five others injured when a bus rammed a microbus at Phulchhari Dargah Bridge in Chakaria upazila on Wednesday.
The deceased were identified as Liton Das, 28 and Saifur Rahman, 32.
The accident took place around 10 am when a Chattogram-bound bus hit a Cox’s Bazar-bound microbus, leaving two passengers of the microbus dead on the spot and five others injured, said Bakhtiar Uddin Chowdhury, officer-in-charge of Chakaria Police Station.
The injured were taken to Chakaria Upazila Health Complex.
On information, police seized the two vehicles, the OC added.
