11 killed as collision of bus-leguna in Narsingdi

Eleven people were killed and five others injured when a bus and a human hauler (leguna) collided head-on in Narsingdi on Monday night.
Police and witnesses said the accident took place in Belabo area on Dhaka-Sylhet highway around 8:30pm, killing eight on the spot. The bus was on its way to Dhaka from Bhairab.
Among the injured, one succumbed to his injuries in Narsingdi Sadar Hospital while two others died in another hospital.
Six of the injured were identified as Abul Hossain, 55, Abdul Mia, 24, Mobarak Hossain, 28, Sujon, 30, his wife, 24, and the driver of the human hauler Aliur Rahman.
The identities of the other victims could not be known immediately.
