3 killed in Brahmanbaria road crash as bus falls into ditch

At least three people were killed and 20 injured as a bus plunged into a roadside ditch in Sarail upazila of Brahmanbaria today.

The identities of the deceased could not be ascertained when this report was filed at 2:43pm. 

The accident occurred when a Sylhet-bound Ena Paribahan bus from Dhaka turned turtle after the driver of the bus lost control over the steering, said Md Hossain Sarkar, officer in-charge (OC) of Sarail Bishwaroad Highway Police Station.

The bus fell into a ditch on the right side of the highway in Boishamura area, the OC said.

Law enforcers and fire service personnel rushed to the spot and began rescue operation there, the police official said.
