6 killed in Gaibandha road crash

At least six people, including a child, were killed and 15 others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a tractor on Gaibandha-Palashbari road in Palashbari upazila of Gaibandha district in the small hours of Saturday.

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately, police said.

The accident took place when a Dhaka-bound bus collided head-on with a tractor near the upazila health complex around 12:15am, leaving six dead on the spot and 15 others injured, said Palashbari police station officer-in-charge Mostafizar Rahman.

On information, police recovered the bodies and kept those at Gobindaganj Highway police station while the injured were sent to Palashbari upazila health complex, the OC added.
