One held with 10 gold bars in Benapole

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in a drive arrested a man along with 10 gold bars, weighing 1.2 kg, from Amtala Gatipara bordering area in Sharsha upazila on Thursday.
The arrestee was identified as Hasanuzzaman Hasan, 30, son of Mainul Islam of Kharki area in Jashore town.
Tipped off, a team of BGB-49 conducted a drive in the area and arrested Hasanuzzaman along with the gold bars, worth Tk 62 lakh, said Lieutenant Colonel Ariful Haq, commanding officer of BGB-49.
The seized gold bars were deposited to Benapole Port Police Station, he added.
