3 held with arms in Faridpur

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) in a drive arrested a listed terrorist and two drug traders from Brahmankanda village in the district town on Saturday morning.

The arrestees are Arafat Hossain Jewel, 38, an  accused in seven cases and his associates Farzana and Arif, accused in drug cases.

Md Rois Uddin, additional superintendent of Faridpur Rab, said on information, a team of Rab-8 conducted the drive and arrested the trio along with a pistol, one shooter gun, a magazine, nine rounds of bullet, a machete, two sharp weapons and 115 Yaba tablets.
