Mason beaten dead in Natore

A mason was beaten to death at Gormati in Boraigram upazila on Sunday night.

The deceased was identified as Majnu Miah.

Quoting locals, police said when Majnu went to a local tea stall for taking tea, a farmer, Korban Ali, locked into altercation with him around 8pm.

At one stage, being angered Korabn started to beat up Majnu with a wooden stick.

Maznu fell into a pond while trying to flee.  Getting up from the pond, when he was running home he collapsed on the ground and died on the spot.
